3 natural remedies to fight Vaginal mycosis and some dietary advice

Vaginal mycosis is an “itchy truth” for many women, especially when you consider that three out of four will suffer from it at least once in their lives. It is caused by a fungus, more precisely a yeast that multiplies more easily when a change occurs in the vagina (loss of acidity, imbalance…). The warm temperatures and humidity of summer are all that these infections like to develop and this explains why it can be more frequent in summer. So of course, it’s not very serious, but this condition is not treatable on its own and is accompanied by many annoying symptoms (thick white discharge like curdled milk and abundant, itching, burning, redness, discomfort…). Here are some natural remedies that will treat vaginal mycosis and rebalance this sensitive area.

1. The natural organic yogurt

Foods rich in probiotics and lactobacilli, such as plain yogurt, help rebuild the balance of the vaginal flora. This helps to eradicate the yeasts responsible for genital infections. It is important to choose plain yogurt, because microscopic fungi love sugar! These foods can be eaten, but you can also soak a tampon with yogurt and leave it in the sex for an hour, twice a day for two weeks. Abnormal vaginal discharge, unpleasant swelling and genital itching should quickly subside with this tip to balance the vaginal flora.

2. Cold pressed coconut oil

Coconut oil is an oil with antibacterial and antifungal properties… no wonder it puts yeast to shame! Plus, it calms inflammation and boosts your immunity. If you combine it with the wonderful anti-fungal tea tree oil, you’ll have the best remedy imaginable. You can apply the oil alone two or three times a day with a sterile cotton pad or dilute a drop of tea tree in a teaspoon of coconut before applying. Continue until you are cured.

3. Grapefruit seed extract

If you choose a real grapefruit extract rich in bioflavonoids, you will have in your possession an excellent antifungal and antibacterial against vaginal mycosis. Moreover, it does not harm the intestinal flora and has no side effects. It is one of the worst enemies of the famous candida albicans! Once a day and for a period of three hours, wear a sanitary tampon soaked in a mixture of 5 drops of extract diluted in a tablespoon of sesame oil.

Dietary advice to heal your vaginal mycosis

The bravest will make good use of the fungicidal and antibacterial properties of garlic by infusing one or two cloves of garlic in a glass of water overnight and drinking that the next morning!

As a complement, eat probiotics and prebiotics (banana, rye, leek, asparagus…) as well as beneficial foods such as milk and milk products. ) as well as beneficial foods such as fresh lemons, poultry, fresh fish, green propolis (capsules or drops), legumes and vegetables with little sugar, peppers, green or kale, broccoli, avocado, and spice up your dishes with a dash of flax or olive oil and herbs or spices (oregano, cinnamon, turmeric…).

If you often have vaginal mycoses or are currently suffering from them, avoid eating carbohydrates with a high glycemic index (cereals, pastries, bread, pasta, soda, fruit juices, etc.), especially in the evening, when yeast is more likely to colonize the stomach. Also avoid smoked animal products (cold cuts, meats…) and those that contain a lot of yeast and mold (moldy cheeses, very ripe or dry fruits, peanuts, wine…).

A few more tips:

If nothing is done against the proliferation and to avoid recurrence, do not hesitate to make an appointment with your gynecologist. In women, it is better to diagnose a vaginal infection in order to treat it with creams and ointments, especially if the intimate symptoms are difficult to live with (painful sexual intercourse, irritation, burning…) or if you are not sure of the sexually transmitted nature of the vaginal infection. If you’re not sure if it’s a fungus, it’s best to seek professional advice. Also, avoid poor personal hygiene and use cotton underwear. Vaginal showers that go too far should be avoided, for example! Finally, avoid wearing clothes that are too tight, which can cause irritation of the mucous membranes, dryness and vaginal candidiasis.
